Error connecting to database even with allowed ips and whitelisted on remote mysql access
I'm runnnig CentOS7 and I made sure the credentials I input on the connection form is correct (host, port, username, password, database) and allowed on firewall and whitelisted on mysql remote access but no luck, return me this error "Could not verify connection: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException: SSL Connection required, but not supported by server."
Any, help, ideas please?
Hi Juliver Galleto ,
Thanks for writing in to the Forum! This error message means your database does not have SSL configured: https://mode.com/help/articles/troubleshooting/#i-get-a-connection-error-that-says-the-server-does-not-support-ssl
Currently, Direct Connect only supports SSL connections. If SSL is disabled on your database, Direct Connect will be unable to connect.
Another way around this, if you cannot allow SSL connections, is to connect using Bridge. The Bridge Connector is a lightweight and secure utility that can be used if your database is not publicly accessible. When you write and run a query in Mode, the Bridge sends a request to your database to execute the computation.
Here is a bit more information about our Bridge connector: https://help.modeanalytics.com/articles/bridge-connector-faqs/
