Is it possible to refer to a variable from a code chunk in a R Notebook (Similar to Functionality in R Markdown)

In R Markdown it is possible to execute R code inline with text. This lets you refer to R Variables from code chunks in your text (https://info201.github.io/r-markdown.html#r-markdown-syntax)

In particular, you would do something like this: `r my.variable` in your text.

Is there similar functionality with R Notebooks in Mode Analytics? That is, if I add a text cell in my R Notebook, can I execute R code inline in the text cell to reference an R variable?

  • Hey there Vincent La

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your use case. Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to add a markdown cell into Mode's report builder nor run code in a markdown cell. Its primary purpose at the moment is to add comments about the Notebook itself.

I've gone ahead and added this feature request for you. If we're able to support this functionality in a future release, we'll notify you.
