Join across two data sources

Hi - is it possible to join data across two data sources in Mode? Or does all data need to be in the same data source?

  • Hi  Jasdeep , You can have queries in Mode that use different data sources.  One data source per query.  We do not have a way to do cross database joins in one query though.  We have had request for this so it is being considered.  You can have two queries that use two different data sources and then merge the data using Python Notebook.  Here's an example report that shows how to merge the data:

  • Hi Shane, unfortunately, querying against two databases is currently not possible within Mode.

    As Donna mentioned above, you can have two queries that use two different data sources and then merge the data using Python Notebook.  Here's an example report that shows how to merge the data:
