Mode is sucking my battery dry

I'm using Mode on Chrome 69 on Mac OS 10.12 and it's really killing my battery life. Even if just a single Mode tab is open doing literally nothing Chrome idles 10% CPU. If a query is running this easily jumps to 40% CPU. I get barely three hours of battery life on my 2017 Macbook. In Firefox the performance is even worse. I would really appreciate it if you could do something to make your code more efficient. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to reduce the CPU load? Some settings maybe?

  • With a single tab open, just sitting there waiting for a single query to finish.

  • Hi Adrian , sorry to hear you're having issues with CPU load in your Chrome browser. I'm unable to replicate this issue on our end. Is the issue associated with a particular report?

If so, could you please write into in-product chat by clicking on the blue question mark on your Mode homepage and clicking "Chat with us", and send a link to the report in question?
